On September 9 – September 11, 2024, a meeting of mayors from the surrounding municipalities of the city of Martin took place in Staré Smokovec, the aim of which was to discuss current issues of water management and effective methods of saving it. Mayors or their representatives from surrounding municipalities took part in the event.
